I for one had a GREAT show. It probably had to do with that tiny blue unicorn I ate, but, that was an all time perfect day. It also helps that I live within walking distance. You should have seen the "scene" in the woods east of the stadium lots. It was wild. There had to be 10000 people in about 50 square acres. The estimate was that 125000 showed that day. It seats 80000. I think the sheer number of people has to do with the download numbers too. Agreed it aint no best ever, but it is one of the most relateable(as in it sounds just like I heard it that day) shows you will ever hear imo.

I was on a bus to Parris Island 13 days later. This show carried me through boot camp and then some. The next time I saw Jerry was in Charlotte in '91.

No luck there Micah - Shit, I was 19 and had just come off Spring Tour. I just thought what the hell and went down and signed up in May of '89. The recruiter said "Hows July 17th sound to you?" I said sure and that was that. About six weeks to try to get into shape - one last show and I was outta there.

The humidity in the summer there(PI) rivals anything, anywhere I have ever been. The rot of the swamp coupled with that humidity made it a physical experience unlike any other I can explain. Instant sweat, stinkin ass island, and some dude just screamin in your face.

Ahh the good old days....

Spring tour. Summer Paris Island B.C.

That's a mighty pendulum swing. Thank God you were 19. I bet that recruiter had a chuckle.
